Reply Cloud now offers an expanded test suite for providers and customers who utilize on-premise PBX facilities along with SIP trunking. The goal of the test is to simulate traffic, network performance, and network elements and provide a comparative baseline for existing or future PBX deployments.

Test Methodology

The Reply Sidekick is converted to an SBC which directs call traffic from the internal LAN side of the site firewall, out to the ReplyPoint test server (carrier-based or Reply Cloud network-based) via a SIP Trunk. This can be deployed singularly or in tandem with a second Reply Sidekick which typically tests against a hosted VoIP configuration.

Findings are valuable for sites that experience LAN contention on current premise-based PBX deployments, and produce comparison data when evaluating voice migration options to cloud-based solutions.
